
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS:
Thursday, Jan 13 and Friday Jan 14 will be AMI days and students should complete all assignments virtually, check emails and follow along in Google Classroom. Should you have any questions, contact your teachers throughout the day.
There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 17th.


Due to a water line break, school is dismissing today, Wednesday, January 12 at 1:45 pm. We will also be out Thursday and Friday due to the number of Covid cases on campus. Students will return on Tuesday, January 18. Busses will run today at 1:45. Elementary will begin loading car riders at 1:40.

Please be aware that the Eureka Springs School District School Board voted this evening to reinstate the mask mandate. All Eureka Springs School District students and staff members should wear a mask at school. Masks are also required to attend all Eureka Springs School District extracurricular activities. This will go into effect January 11. The policy will be revisited as cases go down.

This is an important message from the Eureka Springs School District Transportation department. Due to inclement weather, the transportation department will be running snow routes for the red patch and green patch routes only. This will affect routes this afternoon, Thursday, January 6, and tomorrow morning, Friday, January 7. The red patch bus will meet at the Holiday Island Country Club. The green patch bus will meet at Arvest Bank. Morning buses will be at the designated spot from 6:45 - 7:10 a.m. Afternoon buses will arrive at the designated spot between 3:20 - 3:40 p.m.

Highlanders travel to Berryville tonight for basketball! Games start at 6PM with Sr Girls, followed by Sr boys action at 7:30. No JV games tonight.


Congratulations to our Rotary Student of the Month, Olivia Cross! She was selected by staff for her dedication to academics and athletics, excellent attitude and overall character. Way to go, Olivia! 👏🏼


There will be a Blood Drive on Tuesday, Dec. 14th at the Inn of the Ozarks from 1pm-6pm.


Rotary Interact is headed to Tulsa! They will help pack medical supplies for those in need. While there, they will also shop for two local Angel Tree tags. 🎅🏼

The Punishers police motorcycle club rolled into ESHS this morning to deliver holiday cheer! They came from all over the country and brought thousands of dollars in toys and gifts for our local Angel Tree program!! 🎅🏼





Jacob Eastburn, the son of Matt and Nancy Eastburn has been named the Eureka Springs Rotary Student of the Month for October 2021. Jacob, a senior at Eureka Springs High School, is a member of the National Honor Society and maintains a 4.0 GPA. He is serving as President for the following organizations: Senior Class, Rotary Interact, Future Business Leaders of America and Christians in Action. Jacob’s hobbies are mountain biking, Chess and soccer. In sports he received the Junior Highlander Award and the Cross Country Leadership Award. Last summer he received his pilot’s license. After graduation, he plans to attend college and pursue a career in Aviation. Jacob currently works at Eastburn HVAC.


Today, and the rest of next week (just not on Thanksgiving), some of our Rotary Interact students will be selling tickets for someone to win a 5-minute Grocery Grab at SunFest Market. They will be set up in front of SunFest Market from noon-4pm each day…stop by and say hi!

Another year of fantastic work by FBLA!! They collected and organized a food drive which will provide 20 local families with a full Thanksgiving meal. A big thanks to Hart's Family Center for providing the turkeys, as well!

The ESHS Environmental and Art Clubs have beautified 6 storm drain access covers downtown. All designs are based on water sustainability and conservation. A big thank you to Mr. Louderback and his Film students for documenting the experience. We also want to thank Sara Russell for lending us her artistic abilities. Go check them out!!
